In the Spotlight: the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tod’Aérs, Marco Romero, awarded the Space Generation Leadership Award (SGLA) 2021

The Space Generation Advisory Council – in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications (UN SGAC), has awarded the Space Generation Leadership Award 2021 (SGLA) to Marco Romero, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tod’Aérs – Transparent Organization for Aeronautics and Space Research.

Marco Romero is currently the Head of the commission in charge of the Angolan Centre for Space Studies. He is also Ballistic & Navigation Satellite Specialist and Space System Engineer at the Angolan Space Program.

Marco Romero is an Ambassador in Space Mission System & Design (MSD) for the British private space company Open Cosmos based in Oxford, United Kingdom. He was recognized by “Space in Africa” as one of the Top 10 under 30 in the African Space Industry.

Marco Romero declared “I’m very motivated to embrace another big challenge that will definitely be decisive for my career and help my country a lot. I will do my best to make the most of this unique opportunity to be with the main players in the space ecosystem around the world.”
